The Growing Demand for Certified Drone Operators

Good Morning America recently featured a story on how drones are becoming the preferred tool for emergency management and first responders in situations such as the recent hurricanes and other emergencies. With new FAA regulations in place, drones are no longer a considered a “toy” but are now becoming utilized across many industries.

The Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International are projecting that the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) industry will create 70,000 jobs in the United States over the next 3 years. Lewis is one of the few universities in the country that offers a bachelor degree in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

Students who are technically oriented might want to consider the growing opportunities in this new billion-dollar industry.
